Requirements for Sitting Examinations

For 2026, examination eligibility depends on course registration, regular attendance, payment of tuition and other fees, and student ID requirements, depending on your faculty and campus.

Course registration, attendance, and fee payment

For students in the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, you may take an end-of-semester or midterm examination only if you registered for the relevant course during the prescribed registration period and regularly attended its classes. You must also have paid tuition and other school fees through the relevant term. For students in the Faculty of System Design and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus, tuition and other school fees must likewise have been paid through the relevant term, in addition to the other applicable eligibility requirements.

Student ID requirements at Saitama Hatoyama Campus

For students in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, you cannot take an examination for any reason if you have not brought your student ID. You must carry your student ID at all times and place it on your desk during end-of-semester, midterm, makeup, and other examinations. You must also present it whenever an examination supervisor asks to see it.
