First-Class High-School Mathematics Teaching Licence: Credit Requirements
This page explains the 30-credit requirement, the required gray-shaded courses, and the substitution allowed for university-established subjects.
Required credits and permitted substitution
For the first-class high-school mathematics teaching licence, you must earn at least 30 credits from the courses listed under subjects related to the teaching subject, including the gray-shaded courses. Of these 30 credits, up to 5 credits may be replaced by credits earned in university-established subjects. If you use this substitution, the required credits from subjects related to the teaching subject are reduced by the number of credits earned in university-established subjects. For example, earning 5 credits in university-established subjects means that you must earn at least 25 credits from subjects related to the teaching subject.
