Grade C: Score Range and Passing Status
Grade C is awarded for scores of 60–69 and is a passing grade that earns credits in the specified academic and faculty scopes.
Grade C score range, credits, and evaluation standard
A score of 60–69 earns Grade C and is a passing result, so credits are earned. The evaluation standard is “Minimum achievement”: the student has reached the minimum level of the course learning objectives or syllabus achievement goals, but substantial self-study is needed to apply the acquired knowledge and skills and proceed to more advanced content. For the 2026 Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus and Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, Grade C is recorded as GP 1. On both the grade notification and academic transcript, the evaluation is shown as C.
