Credit Requirements for a High School Type 1 Teaching License

For the 2026 academic year, this page explains the required credits for obtaining a High School Type 1 teaching license at the Faculty of Future Science.

Required Credits

To obtain a High School Type 1 teaching license, you must earn all credits offered by the university in Categories 1, 2, and 3. The total requirement is at least 59 credits under the legal minimum and at least 59 credits among the credits established by the university.

How Category 4 Credits Affect the Requirement

Category 4 courses are not mandatory for obtaining a High School Type 1 teaching license. However, if you earn credits in Category 4, those credits may be included in the required-credit total. The required number of Category 2 credits is then reduced by the number of Category 4 credits you earn.
