Eligibility for Courses in Another Faculty or Department

Conditions for Cross-Faculty or Cross-Department Course Registration

Students may apply to take a course offered by another faculty or department when all of the following conditions are met: the course is not offered by the student’s own department and there is no similar course there; the course is assigned to the student’s year or an earlier year, so courses assigned to more advanced years are not eligible; there is capacity for additional students in the course; and the course is not one of the specifically designated courses listed in the course registration guide. Qualification-related courses, including teacher-training courses, are not subject to the first two conditions: they do not need to be unavailable in the student’s own department or lack a similar course there, and they do not need to be assigned to the student’s year or an earlier year.
