Part-Time Jobs Considered Unsuitable

For students at the Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Future Science, the guidance lists examples of part-time work considered educationally unsuitable or otherwise undesirable, together with reasons and reference points.

Examples of Work to Avoid

The guidance divides examples into work considered educationally unsuitable and undesirable job listings. Examples include on-site work at horse-racing, bicycle-racing, or other gambling venues; on-site work at bars, mahjong venues, pachinko venues, and other entertainment businesses; and long-term, ongoing late-night work. It also lists door-to-door sales, solicitation, and work devoted exclusively to collecting payments.

Street-based or door-to-door surveys aimed at unspecified members of the public are also included. These surveys often do not obtain the other person's understanding or consent and are therefore frequently a cause of trouble.

Street distribution of flyers and poster posting are listed as examples as well. The guidance notes that the content may be problematic and that such work is often carried out without permission.
