How to Identify Unsuitable Part-Time Job Offers

For the 2026 academic year, students at the Tokyo Senju Campus in the School of System Design and Technology should be cautious about job offers with unclear conditions, unreliable hiring practices, conditional group hiring, or responsibility for human life.

Job offers to treat as unsuitable

The following types of part-time job offers are listed as undesirable:

- Offers with unclear working conditions, including unspecified wages, working hours, location, work content, or payment method. Registration-based work is also included. - Offers involving responsibility for human life, such as work as a swimming instructor, monitor, or babysitter. - Group hiring offers in which employment depends on a specified number of people being available. For example, if one person is absent from a group of 10, the other nine people are not hired. - Offers where the employer does not notify students of the hiring decision after they have been introduced, or repeatedly refuses to hire students without a legitimate reason.
