Qualification-Based Recognized Credits: Grades and GPA

Qualification-based recognized credits receive an R grade, are excluded from GPA, and cannot have the R grade canceled after recognition.

How the R grade is treated

For the School of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, qualification-based recognized courses receive an R grade. This grade is not reflected in GPA. For the 2026 academic year, the R grade for a course that was recognized after application cannot be canceled.
