Shaded Courses Required for a Teaching License
Shaded courses in the subject-specialist table are mandatory for obtaining a teaching license, even when their graduation-requirement classification is different.
Meaning of shaded courses
For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, shaded courses in the subject-specialist table are courses containing general and comprehensive content, and they must be completed to obtain a teaching license. The same requirement applies to the Engineering Faculty for the 2025 academic year. This teaching-license requirement is separate from the classification used for advancement and graduation requirements, such as mandatory, elective, or freely selected courses.
