Tuition Deferral Eligibility and Payment Period

This page explains when tuition deferral is unavailable after a leave of absence and the extended payment periods available when deferral is approved.

Returning from a Leave of Absence

For the 2025 academic year, tuition deferral is not available for the semester in which a student returns from a leave of absence. This applies to the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus and the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus.

Extended Payment Period

For the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the 2025 academic year, if tuition deferral is approved, the permitted payment period extends until the end of June for the first semester and until the end of December for the second semester.
