Alternative Route to Doctoral Degree Eligibility

Eligibility Through Thesis Submission

In addition to the route for students who complete the doctoral course, a doctoral degree may be awarded to a person who submits a degree thesis to the University, passes the thesis review and confirmation of academic ability, and is recognized as equal or superior in character and academic ability to a person who has been enrolled in the latter stage of the doctoral course for the prescribed period and has earned at least the prescribed credits in the prescribed major subjects. This route is provided under Article 23(2) of the University Graduate School Regulations.
