Admission Eligibility Routes and Qualifications

For the 2025 academic year, this page outlines admission eligibility routes for the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus.

Recognized Admission Eligibility

A person may be eligible for admission if they are designated as eligible by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, or if they have admission qualifications under the provisions of the School Education Act and its enforcement regulations.

Specialized Training College and Individual Screening Routes

A person may be eligible for admission after completing, on or after the date specified by the Minister, a course in the upper-secondary course of a designated specialized training college. This route is limited to courses with a study period of at least three years that also meet other standards prescribed by the Minister. Eligibility may also be granted to a person who, through an individual admission eligibility assessment, is recognized as having academic ability equivalent to or higher than that of a high school graduate and who has reached the age of 18.
