Doctoral Thesis Publication Requirements

Guidance on the one-year deadline for publishing a doctoral thesis and the exception for theses published before the degree is awarded.

Publication deadline and prior-publication exception

A person awarded a doctoral degree must publish the full text of the doctoral thesis within one year from the date the degree was awarded. This one-year full-text publication requirement does not apply if the thesis was already published before the doctoral degree was awarded.
