Consequences of Examination Misconduct
This page explains possible actions and disciplinary measures for misconduct or improper behavior during examinations.
Removal from the Examination Room
If a student commits misconduct during an examination, the invigilator must take the student's answer paper and order the student to leave the examination room. If a student behaves improperly during an examination or disobeys an invigilator's warning, the invigilator may also take the answer paper and order the student to leave the room.
Invalidation of Examinations
A possible measure is to invalidate the examination in which the misconduct occurred. Another possible measure is to invalidate part or all of the term-end examination for the semester to which that examination belongs.
Disciplinary Measures and Notification
For cases covered by the examination-misconduct provisions, the faculty council deliberates before the dean imposes one of the listed measures on the student. The measure must be publicized, and the student's guarantor must be notified.
