Requirements for the Middle-School Mathematics Teaching License

For the 2025 academic year, students must complete two specified mathematics teaching-method courses and earn at least 20 credits from the subject-specialized courses listed in the relevant table.

Required Courses and Credits

To obtain the middle-school mathematics teaching license, you must complete both Mathematics Teaching Methods and Mathematics Instruction Methods. You must also earn at least 20 credits from the subject-specialized courses listed in the table, including all courses marked with shading.
