Credits Required for a Middle-School Teaching License

The required credits differ by faculty and academic year. The rules below explain the requirements for the Tokyo Senju Campus.

2026 Engineering Faculty: 20 or More Subject-Specialty Credits

For students seeking a middle-school teaching license in the 2026 academic year, you must earn at least 20 credits from the subjects listed in the table of specialized subject-matter courses. The shaded subjects in that table must be included in the credits you earn.

2025 School of System Design and Technology: Credits in Categories 1–4

For students seeking a middle-school teaching license in the 2025 academic year, you must earn all credits established by Tokyo Denki University for the subjects in Categories 1, 2, 3, and 4.
