Planning an Additional Subject Teaching License
An additional subject teaching license should be planned alongside your graduation requirements and the license available through your own department.
Faculty of Engineering: plan the additional license carefully
An additional subject teaching license is an extra qualification beyond the license available through your own department. Because you may not be able to complete all the required study by graduation, plan your coursework so that it does not interfere with your regular studies.
Faculty of Future Science: prioritize graduation and your department’s license
The license for your own department is the basic option. You may also pursue a license in a subject for which your department does not have an accredited teacher-training programme, but you must, in principle, obtain the school level and subject license available through your own department as well. An additional subject license is an extra qualification, and you may not be able to complete all the required credits by graduation. Plan your studies carefully, giving first priority to courses required for graduation and to courses required for the license available through your own department. For questions, consult the Academic Affairs Section of the Tokyo Senju Campus Administration Office.
