Exceptions to the Semester Credit Registration Limit

This page explains which credits are excluded from the semester registration limit and when registration above the limit may be permitted.

Graduate-Level Courses Taken in Advance

For the 2025 academic year at the Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Future Science, credits earned from graduate-level courses taken in advance are not included in the semester credit registration limit.

Exceeding the Limit by up to Four Credits

For the 2026 academic year at the Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Future Science, students generally cannot register for courses beyond the semester credit limit. However, a system allows registration above the limit by up to four credits in a semester when the evaluation criteria stated on the relevant page are met. The limit exists to support planned study over the four years and sufficient understanding of course content.
