Professional Engineer First Examination and JABEE Qualification Route

Students may take the Professional Engineer First Examination while enrolled, and completion of the designated JABEE programme in the EJ electrical and electronic specialization may be recognized as equivalent to passing the examination.

Taking the examination while enrolled

There are no eligibility restrictions for taking the Professional Engineer First Examination. Students may take the examination while they are enrolled.

JABEE completion as an equivalent qualification

As a special route to the assistant professional engineer qualification, completion of a designated educational programme may be recognized as equivalent to passing the Professional Engineer First Examination. For the 2025 academic year, completion of the JABEE programme in the EJ electrical and electronic specialization is recognized on this basis.
