Scholarship Status Loss, Cancellation, and Repayment

This page explains when scholarship status may be lost or canceled and when repayment is required.

When scholarship status is lost

A recipient loses scholarship status if they are expelled, including removal from the student register, or suspended. Status is also lost if the recipient violates University regulations and is disciplined, or if poor academic performance or conduct leads the president to consider the recipient unsuitable for the scholarship.

Cancellation for false statements

The president cancels scholarship status if a student made false statements in scholarship application documents or similar materials, regardless of the other provisions for losing scholarship status.

Repayment after status loss

A recipient who loses scholarship status for a reason covered by the status-loss rule must repay the entire scholarship amount already paid to the University.
