Grade Scale and Grade Points

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, the Faculty of Engineering uses score ranges to assign grade categories and grade points. A course marked as abandoned receives a separate result.

Score ranges, grades, and grade points

For the Faculty of Engineering, course grades are assessed under Article 27 of the University Regulations. Grades and grade points are assigned according to the following score ranges: 90–100: S, GP 4; 80–89: A, GP 3; 70–79: B, GP 2; 60–69: C, GP 1; and 0–59: D, GP 0.

Result for an abandoned course

A course marked as abandoned receives a grade of “–” and a GP of 0.
