General Media Center Use Rules

Food, drinks, and smoking

Food, other drinks, and smoking are prohibited in the General Media Center. For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, students in the System Design and Engineering faculties may bring a drink only if it is in a sealable, closed container. The Future Science Faculty rule prohibits bringing food and drinks into the facility, and smoking is prohibited.

Phone calls

Making phone calls using a mobile phone or smartphone is prohibited inside the General Media Center. This rule applies to the Future Science, Engineering, and System Design faculties at Tokyo Senju Campus for the 2026 academic year.

Wet umbrellas

Do not bring a wet umbrella into the facility. At Tokyo Senju Campus, place a wet umbrella in an umbrella stand or put it in a provided umbrella bag before bringing it inside. Umbrellas left in an umbrella stand are managed at the individual's own responsibility. At Saitama Hatoyama Campus, the supplied rule confirms that wet umbrellas may not be brought inside; the available text does not confirm the other handling method.
