Required Credits for the Fourth Teacher-Licence Subject Category

Required credits by school level

For the fourth statutory subject category, covering teaching methods for moral education and integrated studies, as well as student guidance and educational counseling, the legal minimum and the university course subtotal are 10 credits for a middle-school teaching licence and 8 credits for a high-school teaching licence. This applies to the 2026 academic year in the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology and the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, and to the 2025 academic year in the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus.
