Electrical Chief Engineer Qualification Credit Requirements

This page explains the required credits by subject category, the overall credit total, and the students covered by the 2026 curriculum.

Required credits by category

For the Electrical Chief Engineer qualification, the required minimum credits are 7 credits in power subjects, 10 credits in electrical and electronic equipment, automatic control, electrical energy utilization, and information transmission and processing subjects, 1 credit in electrical regulations and electrical facilities management, 6 credits in laboratory and practical work, and 2 credits in design and drafting. Across the categories listed in Table A, students must earn at least 43 credits. The required credits for each category are the minimum credits prescribed by ministerial ordinance, so students should earn considerably more than these minimums.
