High School Teacher’s Licence in Industrial Subjects: Required Credits

For the 2026 academic year at the Faculty of Science and Technology, the High School Type 1 Teacher’s Licence in Industrial Subjects requires the prescribed subjects and credits under the teacher-licensing law, with a credit substitution exception.

Required subjects and credit substitution

To obtain the High School Type 1 Teacher’s Licence in Industrial Subjects, students must normally complete the prescribed subjects and credits set out in the teacher-licensing law. However, under the supplementary provisions of that law, credits in Category 3, “Subjects Concerning a Basic Understanding of Education,” may be replaced by the same number of credits from Category 2, “Subjects Concerning the Subject and Methods of Teaching.”
