Credit Substitution for the Senior High School Industrial Teaching License

For the 2026 academic year at the Tokyo Senju Campus Faculty of Engineering, credits in subject teaching methods and educational foundations may be substituted with credits in specialized subjects related to industry.

Special rule for the industrial teaching license

When obtaining a regular senior high school teaching license in industrial education, all or part of the credits required for courses on teaching methods for each subject and courses on the fundamental understanding of education may, for the time being, be earned through courses covering specialized matters related to the subject of the license. Under this special rule, it is possible to obtain the license without earning any credits in those teaching-methods or educational-foundations courses.
