Credits Required for the High School Information Teaching License
For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, this page explains the 30-credit requirement and how up to 5 credits may be substituted.
Required credits and permitted substitution
To obtain the High School Type 1 Teaching License in Information, you must earn at least 30 credits from the listed subject-specific courses, including all shaded courses. Up to 5 of these 30 credits may be replaced with credits earned from courses designated as courses independently established by the university. The required number of credits from the subject-specific courses is calculated as 30 minus the number of credits earned from the independently established courses. For example, if you earn 5 credits from the independently established courses, you must earn at least 25 credits from the subject-specific courses, while still including the shaded courses.
