Gakkenbai Enrollment and Premium Payments

This page explains mandatory Gakkenbai enrollment and when additional single-year premiums are collected.

Enrollment and Initial Premium

All students are enrolled in Gakkenbai. The premium covering the standard period of study is paid during the enrollment procedures.

Premiums After the Standard Insurance Period

If your studies extend beyond the standard period, including because you repeat a year, a single-year premium is collected together with tuition. A person whose insurance period has expired, including a student repeating a year or taking a leave of absence, also pays a single-year premium together with tuition.
