First-Type Scholarship Eligibility Standards

This page explains the academic and income standards for the First-Type Scholarship, including requirements for first-year students and students in their second year or above.

Academic and income eligibility

For a first-year student applying for the First-Type Scholarship, the required high-school grade-point average is at least 3.5. From the second year onward, the student's grades must be within the top one-third in their department. An income standard applies to the available monthly loan amounts, regardless of whether the student lives at home or away from home.
