Relief Scholarship Eligibility and Funding Limits

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in either Tokyo Denki University Graduate School or Tokyo Denki University. They must be motivated to achieve academically and be in good physical and mental health. In addition, the applicant's principal household financial supporter must have experienced a sudden economic change in a listed category, and the applicant must be recognized as having difficulty paying educational expenses. Qualifying categories include unemployment or business failure, disaster, long-term medical treatment, and death. Another circumstance may also qualify if the Relief Scholarship Student Selection Committee recognizes it as making payment of educational expenses difficult.

Annual funding limit

Relief Scholarship funds are limited to the amount included in the budget for the relevant fiscal year.
