School Bus Routes, Timetables, and Service Days

This guide explains the school bus routes to Saitama Hatoyama Campus, where to find timetable information, which stations to use, and when service is available.

Routes and operating days

For the 2025 and 2026 academic years, school buses run between Saitama Hatoyama Campus and Takasaka Station and Kitasakado Station on the Tobu Tojo Line. These buses operate on weekdays and Saturdays, according to class times. Buses also run between the campus and JR Kumagaya Station and Konosu Station. In principle, the Kumagaya service operates on weekdays and Saturdays, while the Konosu service operates on weekdays during class periods.

Where to find timetable information

For the 2025 academic year, Tobu Tojo Line school bus departure and arrival times are posted at the bus stop in front of the university's main building and at the bus boarding points at Takasaka Station and Kitasakado Station. The same timetable-posting locations apply for the 2026 academic year.

Choosing between Takasaka and Kitasakado

The Kitasakado Station school bus is primarily intended for students who live in Kitasakado. Because there are fewer Kitasakado services, students are asked to use the Takasaka Station school bus whenever possible. This guidance applies to the 2025 and 2026 academic years.

Service limitations and travel-time changes

The Kumagaya and Konosu services have relatively few departures, so pay close attention to their operating times. Road conditions and weather may cause substantial changes to travel times and departure times. These conditions apply to the 2025 and 2026 academic years.

Days when buses do not operate

School buses do not operate on Sundays, public holidays, or university closure days. This rule applies to the 2025 and 2026 academic years.
