Special Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

The Special Scholarship is intended for students with excellent character and academic performance who face financial difficulty in paying educational expenses. Eligibility also depends on the academic year, campus, faculty, and year of study.

Eligibility by academic year and faculty

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Faculty of Future Science students are covered by information stating that the Special Scholarship is intended for students and pupils of schools established by the Tokyo Denki University educational corporation who have excellent character, good academic performance, and difficulty paying school fees. For the 2026 academic year at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, Faculty of Science and Engineering students, the scholarship is for undergraduate students in years 2 through 4 who have excellent character and academic performance, difficulty paying tuition, and meet a household-finance criterion.

Faculty of System Design and Technology

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Faculty of System Design and Technology students may be eligible if they have excellent character and academic performance and face financial difficulty continuing their studies or paying tuition. The eligibility information also includes a household financial criterion based on the application of the private-university ordinary-expense subsidy system.

Faculty of Engineering

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Faculty of Engineering students in years 2 through 4 may be eligible if they are outstanding in character and academic performance and have difficulty paying educational expenses. A household financial criterion based on the application of the private-university ordinary-expense subsidy system also applies.
