Eligibility for the Student Emergency Relief Scholarship

Eligibility and qualifying financial changes

To be eligible, you must be enrolled in Tokyo Denki University or the Tokyo Denki University Graduate School, be motivated to achieve academically, and be in good physical and mental health. Your principal household supporter must have experienced a sudden change in economic circumstances that falls within a listed category. You must also be recognized as having difficulty paying educational expenses and as able to continue your studies through the loan. Qualifying changes include disaster, long-term medical treatment, the death of the principal household supporter, unemployment, and business failure.
