This page explains who may use the student group-fare discount, how railway-specific conditions apply, and which forms to submit.

Eligibility and railway-specific conditions

The student group-fare discount may be used when a student group travels together with an accompanying faculty or staff member. The required group size and discount rate differ by railway company. This applies to the 2025 Faculty of Systems Design and Technology and Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, and to the 2026 Faculty of Engineering, including the Second Division, at Tokyo Senju Campus. It also applies to the 2026 Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus.

How to apply

For the 2025 Faculty of Systems Design and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus, complete the required information on the group travel application form. The form is available at stations and travel agencies. Submit it to the Student Support Center's Student Welfare section together with an Off-Campus Activity Application.
