Part-Time Job Referrals: Timing and Job Types
This page explains when Tokyo Denki University refers students to part-time jobs, which job types are available at different times, and how the rules differ by faculty and programme.
Availability and purpose of the referral service
For the Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2026, the university provides part-time job referrals to students who want them. To help students avoid neglecting their studies and to prevent accidents, the university limits both the timing and the types of jobs it refers. The same purpose and restrictions apply to the Engineering Faculty Second Division at Tokyo Senju Campus.
Referrals during regular class periods
For the Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, the university does not provide part-time job referrals during periods when regular classes are being held. For the System Design and Technology Faculty at the same campus, referrals are also not provided during regular class periods, except for tutoring and cram-school instructor positions, which may be referred at any time.
Timing by faculty and programme
For the Engineering Faculty and the System Design and Technology Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, part-time jobs other than tutoring and cram-school instructor positions are referred only during the long vacations: summer, winter, and spring vacation.
For the Engineering Faculty Second Division at Tokyo Senju Campus, referrals are limited to daytime periods when regular classes are not being held and to the summer, winter, and spring long vacations. As a general principle, the work must not interfere with academic study.
