Maezawa Scholarship Foundation Eligibility

Eligibility requirements for first-year undergraduate students at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the 2025 and 2026 academic years, including residency, academic performance, household income, and the university quota.

Eligibility for the 2025 academic year

Eligible applicants are first-year undergraduate students who reside in Tokyo. Tokyo Denki University has a quota of two applicants. Applicants must meet the university's academic criterion of a high-school grade average of at least 3.7. The household income criterion is combined household income below ¥4.21 million; for the stated other-income category, the limit is below ¥3.07 million.

Eligibility for the 2026 academic year

Eligible applicants are first-year undergraduate students who reside in Tokyo. The university quota is two applicants. The university's academic criterion is a grade average of at least 3.7. The foundation's income criterion is combined household income below ¥4.21 million; for the other category, the limit is below ¥3.07 million.
