Eligibility for the 2026 academic year

For the 2026 academic year, eligibility applies to new first-year students in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of System Design Engineering, Faculty of Future Science, or Faculty of Engineering, Division II, at the Tokyo Senju Campus. Applicants must be children of Tokyo residents or reside in Tokyo, be excellent academically and personally, be healthy, and have difficulty paying educational expenses.

Eligibility and monthly amount for the 2025 academic year

For the 2025 academic year, the eligibility requirements for new first-year students in the Faculty of System Design Engineering at the Tokyo Senju Campus are that they are children of Tokyo residents or reside in Tokyo, are excellent academically and personally, are healthy, and have difficulty paying educational expenses. For new first-year students in the Faculty of Engineering, Division II, the foundation grant is listed as ¥40,000 per month.
