Student Adviser Support and Office Hours

Learn what you can discuss with a student adviser and how office hours are available under the relevant faculty and academic year.

Topics you can discuss

Student advisers are full-time university faculty members who provide advice on student concerns. For the 2025 academic year in the School of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, and the 2026 academic year in the School of Engineering, Second Division, example topics include student life, academic matters, employment or graduate-school admission, and scholarships. In the 2026 academic year in the School of Science and Technology for Future Life, student advisers provide guidance and advice on academic matters, employment or further study, and university life. Students can also discuss their concerns more generally with their adviser.

Using student adviser office hours

For the 2025 academic year in the School of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, student advisers set office hours every week and wait in places such as faculty offices so that students can freely discuss student life, academic matters, employment or graduate-school admission, and scholarships. For the 2026 academic year in the School of Science and Technology for Future Life, advisers also hold weekly office hours and wait in places such as faculty offices. The office-hour times and consultation locations for that faculty are posted on DENDAI-UNIPA. In that faculty, office hours are open to all students, not only to individual students who have a specific personal arrangement. Students are asked to organize the matters they want to discuss in advance so that more students can use the service.
