First-Type Scholarship: Loan Period and Continued Eligibility

This page explains how long the interest-free First-Type Scholarship can be provided and what may happen if eligibility is lost.

Loan period and eligibility

For the 2026 academic year at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the Faculty of Science and Technology, the interest-free First-Type Scholarship is available until the end of the shortest standard completion period, which is four years. If you lose eligibility as a scholarship student, the loan may be suspended or terminated.
