Type 2 Scholarship: Loan Period and Continuation Conditions

The Type 2 Scholarship can be provided through the end of the standard four-year period of study. The scholarship may be suspended or discontinued if you lose your eligibility.

How long the scholarship can be provided

The loan period for the Type 2 Scholarship lasts until the end of the minimum standard study period, which is four years. This applies to the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology in academic year 2025, the Faculty of Science and Technology for the Future in academic year 2026, and the Second Division of the Faculty of Engineering in academic year 2026 at Tokyo Senju Campus.

When the scholarship may be suspended or discontinued

For the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology in academic year 2026, if you lose your eligibility as a scholarship student, the scholarship may be suspended or discontinued. For the Faculty of Science and Technology for the Future in academic year 2025, if you lose your eligibility as a scholarship student, the scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.
