Continuing or Extending a Leave of Absence

A leave of absence normally ends with the academic year in which it is approved. Continuing the leave requires a new procedure, and an extension or repeat leave may be permitted when special circumstances are recognized.

Renewing a Leave of Absence

A leave of absence is valid only for the academic year in which it is approved. If you wish to remain on leave in the following academic year, you must complete the procedure again.

Extending a Leave of Absence

A leave of absence is generally limited to the academic year for which permission was granted. If special circumstances are recognized, an extension may be permitted upon application.

Applying for Repeat Leave

If special circumstances are recognized, repeat leave may be permitted upon application.
