Substituting Credits in the Teaching-Licence Subject Requirement
You may replace part of the 30-credit requirement for specialized subject-matter courses with credits from university independently established subjects.
How the 30-credit requirement is calculated
For the 2025 teaching-licence curriculum at Tokyo Senju Campus, up to 5 of the 30 credits required for specialized subject-matter courses may be replaced with credits earned in university independently established subjects. The required number of specialized subject-matter credits is therefore 30 minus the number of substituted credits. For example, if you earn 5 credits in university independently established subjects, you must earn at least 25 credits from specialized subject-matter courses. For the Engineering Faculty, the 30 credits are taken from the courses listed in the specialized subject-matter table, including the shaded courses.
