How GPA Is Calculated
GPA is calculated from your S, A, B, and C graded credits, divided by your total registered credits. This page also explains the rounding rule and maximum GPA.
GPA calculation formula
For the stated academic-year and faculty scopes, GPA is calculated as follows: [(S-graded credits × 4) + (A-graded credits × 3) + (B-graded credits × 2) + (C-graded credits × 1)] ÷ total credits registered for courses. GPA is used to calculate academic standing order or academic ranking.
Rounding rule and maximum GPA
For the stated academic-year and faculty scopes, GPA is rounded at the fourth decimal place. The maximum GPA is 4.
