Courses Included in GPA Calculation

This page explains which courses and evaluations are excluded from GPA calculation and how courses still in progress are treated.

Courses and evaluations excluded from GPA

Free elective courses are not included in GPA calculation. RN evaluations are also excluded from the GPA calculation. This exclusion is stated for the 2025 School of Engineering scope and the 2026 scopes covering the School of Systems Design and Technology and the School of Science and Technology.

Courses still in progress

Courses still in progress are excluded from GPA calculation. Only courses whose evaluations or grades have been finalized are included. For the 2026 School of Science and Technology scope, courses still in progress are also excluded from the total number of registered course credits used as the GPA denominator.
