How Transfer Credits Are Recognized
Transfer credits may be recognized comprehensively or by matching individual subjects, depending on the transfer route, faculty, and academic year.
Subjects Recognized Comprehensively
For the 2025 academic year at the Tokyo Senju Campus, students transferring within the Faculty of Engineering receive comprehensive recognition for Human Sciences subjects in all fields except the Engineer Culture and Global Culture fields. For the 2026 academic year in the Faculty of Future Science, transfer students likewise receive comprehensive recognition for Human Sciences subjects in fields other than Engineer Culture and Global Culture.
Subject Correspondence and Grades
For transfers among the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Future Science, and Faculty of System Design Engineering in the 2025 academic year, Common Education subjects—Human Sciences, Engineering Fundamentals, and English—are recognized by matching individual subjects, regardless of the designated year. These subjects are evaluated as S, A, B, or C. However, the receiving department may evaluate them as RN.
Recognition for Transfers from Engineering Division II
For transfers from Engineering Division II to the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Future Science, or Faculty of System Design Engineering in the 2025 academic year, Human Sciences subjects in the Engineer Culture and Global Culture fields are recognized by matching individual subjects. Human Sciences subjects in other fields are recognized comprehensively as a group rather than by matching individual subjects.
