Study Abroad Permission and Duration

This page explains when study abroad may be approved and the standard duration of study abroad.

Conditions for Study Abroad Permission

A student may be permitted to study abroad at a foreign university or similar institution to take its courses when the study abroad is considered educationally beneficial to the student.

Study Abroad Duration

The standard study abroad period is one year. However, short-term study abroad at a university or similar institution approved by the University may be specially permitted even when the period is less than one year.
