Circumstances That May Lead to Dismissal

For the 2025 academic year, these are the circumstances under which students in the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus may be dismissed under the university regulations.

Attendance and Academic Progress

A student may be dismissed if they are absent continuously for three months or more without notification and without a valid reason. Dismissal may also apply when academic performance is particularly poor and there is no prospect of improvement.

Maximum Time in the Same Year

In the Faculty of Science and Technology, a student may be dismissed if they remain in the same academic year for more than four years in total without progressing to the next year or graduating.
