Emergency Scholarship: Recruitment and Selection

The Emergency Scholarship has no regular recruitment schedule. Eligibility is considered in cases of recent household financial change and difficulty paying tuition, subject to comprehensive selection and the available annual budget.

Eligibility and selection for the 2025 Faculty of Engineering

For the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2025, the Emergency Scholarship does not have regular recruitment. A student whose household finances changed within the past year and who has difficulty paying tuition may be considered. Selection is comprehensive, taking into account borrowing from other scholarships, the circumstances of the household financial change, the status of tuition-payment deferral, and whether the student is suited to the purpose of the Emergency Scholarship.

Recruitment timing and selection for the 2026 Faculty of Systems Design and Technology

For the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2026, the Emergency Scholarship has no regular recruitment schedule. A student with a household financial change within the past year and difficulty paying tuition is considered comprehensively based on borrowing from other scholarships, the circumstances of the household financial change, tuition-payment deferral circumstances, and other factors. A student considered suitable for the purpose of the Emergency Scholarship is selected.

Annual budget limit

For the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2025, the funds available for the Emergency Scholarship are limited to the budget for the relevant fiscal year.
