Library Borrowing: Restrictions and Checkout Procedures

Find out which library materials are for in-library use only and how to borrow materials using self-service checkout or the library service counter.

Materials for in-library use only

Some library materials cannot be borrowed and may be used only inside the library. This includes materials bearing a red “not for loan” label.

Self-service checkout

Borrowing procedures can be completed using a self-service checkout machine.

Books requiring the service counter

Loan procedures can be completed using a self-checkout machine. However, for books with accompanying materials and reserved materials, bring your student ID and go to the library service counter.
