Scholarship Selection Criteria and Decision Process

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, scholarship selection criteria and decision procedures differ by faculty.

Eligibility criteria and candidate selection in the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division

In the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division, scholarship students are selected from people who meet at least one of these conditions: excellent academic performance; financial hardship that makes it difficult to pay educational expenses; a need for financial support due to an accident, disaster, or similar event; or a finding of need following consultation between the Director of the Student Support Center and the relevant graduate-school committee chair or faculty dean. After deliberation by the Student Support Center Management Committee, the Director of the Student Support Center determines the scholarship candidates.

Recipient decisions in the Faculty of System Design and Technology

In the Faculty of System Design and Technology, the president decides the scholarship recipients after deliberation by the University Coordination Liaison Council. The decided recipients are then reported to the chairperson of the board of trustees.
